Joyful Medical recently organized, end to end, a delegation from ACKO, one of India’s leading digital insurance companies, on a study tour to Bangkok, Thailand, where they visited several leading international hospitals and held in-depth business discussions. This is the second collaboration between the two companies following the China medical exchange that Joyful Medical arranged in April 2026, and it extends the partnership from China to Thailand. For both organizations, this was no ordinary overseas visit — it is the natural deepening of a continuous, trust-based and progressively expanding long-term strategic partnership.
This was not a guided tour; it was a professional cross-border healthcare resourcing engagement.
Joyful Medical independently designed and delivered the entire Thailand program, providing end-to-end cross-border medical travel planning that linked healthcare resources across multiple countries, shortlisted and scheduled the target international hospitals, organized the visiting itineraries, and supplied on-site bilingual medical and business support. The team also facilitated several in-depth working sessions on international insurance direct-billing (cashless) networks, international-patient capabilities, cross-border patient referral and claims cooperation. At each institution, the team conducted systematic on-site due diligence into clinical strengths, international accreditation, patient capacity, service workflows and pricing — building a comparable, actionable basis for future cooperation.
Over several days, the delegation visited a representative group of international healthcare institutions across Bangkok and the surrounding region, spanning large listed hospital groups and specialized centers, including:
- Vejthani Hospital — a JCI-accredited international hospital known for orthopedics and international-patient services;
- Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital — including its specialized Diabetic Wound Care Center;
- Bangpakok Hospital Group (BPK);
- Praram 9 Hospital;
- MedPark Hospital;
- Piyavate Hospital; and
- Bangkok Hospital Pattaya (BDMS Group).

The delegation toured emergency, inpatient and specialty departments and met the international-marketing and patient-services teams face to face, laying the groundwork for future patient referral, insurance direct billing and joint services serving the South-Asian and Southeast-Asian markets. As one of the world’s most popular medical-tourism destinations, Thailand also let the insurer compare the clinical capabilities and service standards of multiple international hospitals at first hand.

A second engagement is not only recognition — it is trust.
After the April medical exchange in China, ACKO once again chose Joyful Medical to organize this cross-border study program, this time extending the scope from China to Thailand. The repeat appointment is a continuing vote of confidence in Joyful Medical’s resource network, industry judgment and on-the-ground execution. For a digital insurer known for rigor and efficiency, entrusting its cross-border hospital due diligence to the same team twice signals that the relationship has moved beyond a one-off project into joint planning and long-term collaboration.

Building a China–India–Thailand cross-border healthcare network.
The significance of this partnership lies in connecting quality healthcare resources across China, India and Thailand. By linking Joyful Medical’s care-coordination capability in China, the insurer’s payment and customer network in India, and Thailand’s mature international healthcare delivery, the two partners can compare treatment options across multiple countries and institutions — giving patients seeking overseas treatment more diverse, transparent and cost-effective choices. With China as its hub, Joyful Medical is extending its reach across Southeast Asia and South Asia, steadily building an Asia-Pacific cross-border healthcare collaboration network.
Joyful Medical said: From the China program in April to this Thailand tour, our partnership with ACKO is deepening step by step. Our goal is not simply to take patients to a single hospital, but to use professional care coordination to connect quality healthcare across China, Thailand and the wider Asia-Pacific into one comparable, trustworthy network — giving insurers confidence and every cross-border patient a clear choice and peace of mind in their treatment.

Going forward, Joyful Medical and ACKO will continue to advance collaboration on cross-border network development, international patient referral, insurance direct billing and second medical opinions, and welcome more international insurers, hospitals and partners to join this Asia-Pacific cross-border healthcare network.
