WU Tong
Languages:
Internationally renowned HSCT expert with 30 years of experience and thousands of successful transplant cases.
Dr. Wu Tong is the Medical Director and Chief Physician at Beijing Gaobo Boren Hospital, and a Postdoctoral Fellow of the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). She has been engaged in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and hematologic disease diagnosis and treatment for over 30 years, and is an internationally renowned HSCT expert.
She graduated from Beijing Medical University (now Peking University Health Science Center) and has focused on HSCT since 1987, being among the earliest specialists in this field in China.
To date, she has completed thousands of transplant procedures, establishing a domestically leading and internationally aligned high-quality transplant system that has achieved extremely low transplant-related toxicity and high disease-free survival rates for various hematologic malignancies and benign hematologic diseases.
She possesses exceptional clinical experience in transplant modality selection, management of severe graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and transplant-related infections, transplant strategies for refractory/relapsed leukemia, post-transplant immunotherapy, transplantation in elderly leukemia patients, sequential transplantation after CAR-T therapy, and second allogeneic HSCT.
She has been deeply involved in exploring the combination of CAR-T cell therapy and transplantation strategies. Her team’s research has been published in international journals including British Journal of Haematology, Frontiers in Oncology, and Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, with multiple presentations at international conferences.

Focus on Disease Treatment & Therapeutic Methods
| Disease | Treatment Method | Advantage |
|---|---|---|
| Acute Leukemia (AML/ALL) | Allogeneic HSCT (Allo-HSCT) | 30 years of transplant experience, thousands of successful cases; post-transplant DFS 78% for refractory/relapsed patients, far exceeding international levels (~30%) |
| Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) | HSCT + Individualized Conditioning Regimen | Individualized regimens based on molecular subtyping and prognostic risk; extremely low transplant-related toxicity with high DFS |
| Lymphoma | HSCT / Sequential Transplant after CAR-T | CAR-T bridging transplant results for R/R B/T-ALL published in British Journal of Haematology and other top journals |
| Aplastic Anemia / Hemophagocytic Syndrome | HSCT | Covers congenital and acquired forms; youngest patient 1 year old, oldest 67 years; high transplant success rate |
| Post-transplant Relapse | Second Allo-HSCT + Targeted/Immunotherapy | Second transplant DFS 94.4%, far exceeding international levels (20–30%); Venetoclax-based regimen OS 85.7% |
